Climate Change in EU Environmental Policy Needed

While the EU champions progressive environmental policies, further inspection reveals that the EU-15 only reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 2% between 1990 and 1995, and that they will fail to meet their Kyoto Protocol commitments. ++ New EU member states have outperformed older ones. ++ The Commission is "sacrificing the needs of growing economies that have met their goals to those of more established markets" and is sabotaging the effectiveness of EU environmental policy and the common market.
