Climate Change will Affect the World's Poor First

Randy James, Time Magazine | June 5, 2009

The repercussions of climate change are far more fatal than expected, a new report says. ++ Millions of the world's poor are the most directly affected. ++ "This number will likely more than double - making it the greatest humanitarian challenge of our time." ++ Developing countries "lack capacity to make their voices heard," but endure 99 per cent of all casualties related to climate change. ++ While the "human-caused influence on the global-warming phenomenon remains unclear" this report is a plea for change directed at the world leaders.

I like this comment! What's this?
The Time article is rather dismissive of a very important problem. The article gives a link to a substantial article on a very important situation that will impact the developed nations whether they now want to look at it or not.
