Davos: a Message of Hope

The annual appointment in the Swiss mountains to discuss the future of the world economy arrives just in time to get to the heart of the financial crisis. ++ Unfortunately newly elected President Obama will not be present ++ At his inauguration speech, however, Obama reiterated his strong commitment to a market economy. ++ The same spirit ought to accompany the experts and politicians who gather in Davos: optimism and faith in the future of the financial system. ++ It is in the deliverance of such messages that lies the strength of Davos.
