This age may end up being the Age of Intolerance, Nationalism, or even Decline. ++ At best, it may become the Age of Responsibility that Obama is trying to usher in. ++ This requires completion of WTO negotiations in order to create enough growth to meet the Millennium Development Goals. ++ Carbon emissions will need to be cut, and anti-protectionist but disciplined fiscal policies will need to be implemented globally. ++ Developed countries must contribute 0.7% of their economies in order to extend leadership to the global south.
