Poland Sets Optimistic Agenda for EU

As Poland inherits the European Union presidency for the first time, the EU faces some of the biggest challenges in its history. Nevertheless, Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs sees this not as a burden, but an opportunity. ++ Poland is one of the EU’s success stories, having benefitted from European integration to spur its own economic growth. ++ Now, precisely because of challenges such as the eurozone crisis and the democratic movements in the Arab world, European solidarity is more important than ever before.
