Poznan Climate Talks are Haves vs. Have-nots

A. Kompowski & K. Niklewicz, Gazeta Wyborcza | December 9, 2008

No solution is in sight at the COP 14 talks. ++ "The line of division runs between the developed countries and the developing ones." ++ Saudi-Arabia wants no reduction of oil consumption, while Pacific islands are in threat of submersion. ++ While a "Common Vision" remains elusive, some goals have been reached, including global electronic recording of emission permits and a new phase of UN climate research. ++ The UK and Scandinavia have declared ambitious CO2-reduction targets. ++ All eyes are on the next US administration.

I like this comment! What's this?
it should be obvious that the world cannot afford any more taxation for any reason...

I certainly hope the incoming administration realizes what it is up against concerning tax hikes for any reason at this time.....57 million white Americans did not vote for Obama and there is no concensus nor will there be, a New Direction? oh please.....

and in addition, I certainly hope the powers that be are aware that the American Citizens will not pay for 3rd World Debt Forgiveness through jacked gasoline prices nor jacked anything else, we're on to you, drop it now......
