Pragmatic Guidelines for Development

Almost two-thirds of humanity live in high-income or high-growth countries, while the remaining two billion live in countries with stagnant, or declining incomes. ++ The main increase in global population expected by 2050 will occur in countries with little or no growth. ++ The final report by the Commission on Growth and Development, a panel of poliymakers from developing countries, addresses the challenge of shifting poor countries into the high-growth category and proposes several ways to achieve fast, sustained, and equitable growth.
