The World Judges Repressive Chinese Dictatorship

China's authoritarian-capitalist model fails to federalize society and accommodate minorities. ++ The authorities' intolerance of separatism may lead the one-party state to collapse under the weight of its own contradictions. ++ Since Tibet's quest for autonomy is no conspiracy but results from legitimate fear of cultural extinction, Hu needs to end the violence and accept the Dalai Lama as interlocutor.
