In this paper, I apply the
concept of legitimacy to analyse the history of Polish communist rule, its
gradual degredation and the final outcomes of Poland's bloodless revolutin:

development process that gradually established the conditions for reform. This
process would finally commence the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, and
the development of a young democratic system in Poland.
