America: Moving beyond Divisions
Henry Kissinger, frm. Sec. of State | Decemeber 5, 2008
President-elect Obama’s team of national security heavyweights evinces his finest qualities: courage and inner assurance. ++ He will need these characteristics as he attempts to distill “order out of a fragmenting international system.” ++ No particular constellation of advisors seems better suited to help him attain those ends. ++ His choice of Hillary Clinton misconstrues the notion of a “team of rivals”; both “have concluded that the country and their commitment to public service require their cooperation.”
