Global Boom in Wind-Generated Power

A Scottish island was a trendsetter for second hand wind turbines in 2004, now covering almost all its annual demands. ++ Long waiting lists for new turbines, the EU CO2 reduction targets, and 40% price reduction makes used turbines attractive. ++ Large companies like E.ON or Iberdrola will upgrade their capacity, therefore 5 000 machines are expected to be on the market by 2013 and a huge demand from Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America is anticipated. ++ Globally reduction of CO2 emission becomes more important.
