Iran Must Be Viewed as a Multi-Ethnic Society

Roger Cohen, The New York Times | March 2, 2009

The reported plight of Jews in Iran has provoked consternation amongst academics in this area.++ Comparisons with totalitarian regimes such as that of Nazi Germany are not accurate.++ Today's Iran is an open society with access to international news, and the upcoming elections will be fair and open.++ Life for Jews in Iran may be more difficult than that of Muslims, but society is relatively stable and dynamic.++ Fanatacism has existed in the past, but to continue to focus on stereotyped views of Iran could have disastrous results.
