Meaningless Indictment of the Sudanese President
Editorial, The Wall Street Journal | July 16, 2008
The International Criminal Court’s resolution to seek an arrest warrant for Sudanese president Omar Bashir was hailed as a step towards stopping the bloodshed in Darfur. ++ In fact, this decision will not change anything and is yet another example of what seems to be an inverse correlation between the Western world's declarations on Darfur and the actions it actually takes. ++ If the international community really wants to save Darfur it needs to act, not make meaningless gestures which bring false moral comfort.

Was the President directly responsible?
What did the International Community do about the subhuman conditions in the poor countries?
Why are the Multinational Corporations still dealing with these regimes and take sides with these Governments.
Who is corrupting and bribing them?
Who are those buying goods from and selling to them?
What happens to the Rebels?
Where did they get their arms from?
Who are those supporting both sides?
What is then the fate of the foreign backers who have been responsible as partners for the Genocide?
Where have the members of the international community been during the Genocide?
What should happen to them?
Can you cannot fight injustice, genocide and poverty this way when on the other hand looting the natural resources of the developing nations by supporting violence and allowing foreign mercenaries to sell arms to Africans to kill each other, so as to gain control of the natural resources.
There should be a better way of dealing with crisis. The only way is preventing it and stop selling weapons in exchange for natural resources.
Thanks
