Transatlantic Economic Relations Remain Strong

Despite the much-discussed rise of emerging markets, the transatlantic economy remains the foundation of the global economy. ++ US foreign direct investment into Europe rose to $1.2 trillion, that’s nearly three times larger than in all of Asia and more than double than in the developing nations. ++ With 59% of total US FDI, Europe remains the top destination, while Europe remains the biggest investor into the US.
